Patent pending. U.S. patent pending. Vanzen and TripGuard practice Van Zandt’s privacy-preserving tokenization: personally identifying information is detected and replaced with typed placeholders before a model sees the text. Restoration is selective; designated high-sensitivity types are structurally excluded from rehydration.

What is marked

The notice applies to Vanzen and TripGuard (also referred to internally as TravelGuard). Other Van Zandt products may use related techniques; only these two are marked on this Site.

The pending subject matter concerns a privacy-preserving tokenization / pseudonymization layer: detecting personally identifying information, substituting typed placeholders before a model or vendor API sees the text, and restoring originals only for types that are allowed to rehydrate. Designated high-sensitivity types are excluded from restoration by construction.

Vanzen applies this on the device, before a request leaves the phone or browser. TripGuard applies it before claim, itinerary, or evidence text is sent to a model.

What this notice is not

• Not a granted patent and not a guarantee that any patent will issue.
• Not a license. You may not practice the methods because you read this page.
• Not a complete technical disclosure. Implementation details remain confidential except as published by a patent office after filing.
• Not an assertion against any particular third party. Enforcement, if any, will be through ordinary legal process.
